A Brief History of The Dog Salon Lincs

'The Dog Salon Lincs is a small business in Kirton, Lincolnshire and was founded in 2016 by me, Machaley Larder. I started the business following a career change having previously worked in insurance, I had decided that life was too short to not enjoy my job and I wanted to spend more time with my own dogs, Wilson and Jessie, so I re-trained in pet grooming. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!
I've discovered a love of the complexities of dog behaviour during my time as a dog groomer and try to incorporate that into my work. Since opening, The Dog Salon Lincs has received many wonderful testimonials and reviews and has been nominated for a local business award. I feel this is by catering for dogs of all sizes and temperaments using a gentle approach to dog grooming.'

We understand that your dog is more than just your pet, they are a part of your family and here at The Dog Salon Lincs we treat your furry children the same as we would our own. We also understand how difficult it can be to find a pet groomer that you can trust, that listens to your requests and caters for your pets' individual needs. That is why we offer a free meet and greet service to new customers so you and your dog can come and meet us to decide if we are the right salon for you.
Our salon is fully insured, we are Pet First Aid certified and we love dogs so you can rest assured that your dog is in safe hands.
The Salon

Our salon has a secure, enclosed garden for your hairy pup to run off some steam, to have a snooze or use when nature calls and we offer 1:1 appointments that are tailored specifically to your pet (we do allow more than one dog at a time from the same household).
We cater for dogs of all temperaments as much as possible and use a gentle approach to all appointments using reward-based training. Our ethos is 'Humanity over Vanity' so we will always put your pets' needs first. With this in mind we ask that you are as truthful as possible when booking so we can tailor their appointment to best suit your dogs' needs.
